Rebecca's Magical Mystery Tour

Welcome my fellow travelers, grab a cup of tea and let us share our lives, our family history, and celebrate the legacy given us by our beloved, courageous ancestors.

This Rebecca was born in a little town in a former Jewish settlement turned French Catholic community in Southwest Louisiana over 50 years ago. It was here that I learned to love the basics of Cajun life- French music and spicy Cajun food.

With not much to do but place your bare feet on the warm ground and lay on Louisiana prairies gazing up at the slow-moving, puffy clouds, I learned to revere and love our Louisiana Bayous and rice fields filled with wildlife.

Life was rich starting off in nursing school and job with Castle and Cooke in New Orleans that took me to the state of California. Fourteen years later, I chose to work for the current Sheriff of San Francisco, Mike Hennessey.  Twenty-three years later I retired to my dream home in the Sonoran desert of Tucson, Arizona.  Now I find myself living part-time in Albuquerque, New Mexico, exploring the mysteries of the New Mexico pueblos.

Retirement has given me time to devote much of my life to volunteering with Jewish Family Services in the USA and with Sar El-USA, Volunteering with the IDF in Israel.
